How can I make a job application look better if I don't have any work experience?

Do you have any skills ? Such as computer operations (excel, etc) or have you done any volunteering, or worked on any group projects at school? It is hard when you have no work experience-be careful padding anything as a employer will not be fooled and that will backfire. Sometimes it is best to admit that you are a beginner.
